Year of English, Day 158: Watch a current news story

There’s a big story in the news today in the U.S. It has been revealed that a government agency called the National Security Agency has been gathering information about all of the phone calls through the telephone company Verizon. In the past, the government was only allowed to monitor information about phone calls if they suspected a person of doing something illegal. Some American citizens are very upset that this is happening.
